Hannah + Aidan // Talariah Stables in Walla Walla, WA

Hannah and Aidan were married in April at Talariah Stables in Walla Walla, WA. The estate, owned by Aidan's family, is a small hobby farm sharing their farm, horses, and country life with the horse-loving children and families throughout our community. The gorgeous home was built in the early 1900s. While horse camps regularly happen on site, this was Talariah's first wedding.

A spring storm blew through during portraits and while waiting for it to pass, Hannah, Aidan and I ducked into the tiny Walla Walla airport lounge which is maintained by a sweet 70+ year old man whom I've met once. He keeps everything as it was in the 60's it seems, and the space, with its aviation memorabilia and navigation maps hanging from the walls, turned out to be perfect for some Wes Anderson-inspired portraits. We didn't avoid the storm completely though and ventured out into the wind...which always brings images to life! Hannah made her own veil--just one of the many creative elements that her crafty skills made possible!

The ceremony took place down by the creek where they had a a simple hemp rug spread out to stand on. The rug will be in their new home--a great way to be reminded of their day! Aidan's grandma planted tulips at the front of the ceremony site the day before. So many sweet touches!

The weather cleared completely by the time the reception started and golden light set the mood for an evening of eating, chatting, making s'mores and listening to some of the sweetest toasts I've ever heard. Hannah's family's french heritage inspired a gorgeous charcuterie board of meats, cheeses and fruits for the reception. And pies--there were pies! The caterer Molly Morin did a beautiful job of making the French cuisine dreams come to life. Hannah and Aidan were ushered out through veils of colored smoke--a great exit for couples when venue's don't want you to leave any trace behind. Truly a creative, sweet, and thoughtful celebration of two talented and well-matched people! I am still so honored to have been there for it and grateful to have them as clients and now new friends! Here is Aidan and Hannah's day:
